(Web Desk) – Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has come out with a strong condemnation of the heinous attack perpetuated against the immigrant Muslim community settled in New Zealand.
The secretary-general of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Youssef al-Othaimeen has stressed on the need to have a thorough investigation of the Friday attack, on part of New Zealand authorities, that claimed 49 innocent Muslim lives.
He further pointed out the prevalent dangers of hate, intolerance and the lack of understanding of Islam, resulting in Islamophobia.
In a statement issued Youssef al-Othaimeen said that the attack on the mosque, served as a further warning on the obvious dangers of hate, intolerance, and Islamophobia.
He offered his deepest condolences to the families of the affected.
