Muslim Times(Web Desk) – US President Donald Trump is attacking some of the top Democrats who may challenge him in the 2020 presidential election, in which he hopes to secure his second round of presidency.
Trump was in Johnson City, Tennessee, on Monday to whip up support for Republican Representative Marsha Blackburn ahead of the November midterm elections.
The New York billionaire took the chance to attack Democratic Senators Elizabeth Warren and Cory Booker, as well as former Vice President Joe Biden by name.
Apparently referencing Booker’s groping of a classmate in high school, Trump said: “See some of the things he wrote when he was young about women.”
He further mocked Warren, asserting that Democrats “have moved so far left that Pocahontas is considered a conservative.”
“Elizabeth Warren. She said she’s considering a run for the presidency. Please, please run,” Trump added.
The president also took a jab at Biden, another top Democrat who may confront him in 2020.
“‘I want to challenge him to a fight behind the barn.’ Oh, I’d love that. Wouldn’t that be good?” Trump said. “He’s another beauty. They’ve got some real beauties.”
At an anti-sexual assault rally at the University of Miami in March, Biden asserted that he is not willing to “debate” with Trump over his attitude towards women, yet noting that “if we were in high school, I’d take him behind the gym and beat the hell out of him.”
So far, at least 16 women have accused Trump of unwanted sexual advances.
“Democrats want activists, left-wing judges who will totally rewrite your laws, erase your borders and replace your values,” Trump said. “You don’t want that in Tennessee. Republicans know that a judge’s job is to follow the law and deliver equal justice for all.”
US politicians have been rallying up support as campaigning is underway for Republican and Democratic candidates across the country ahead of the 2018 midterms.
