ISLAMABAD (Muslim Times) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Wednesday said that rest of the province is suffering because of focus of investment in Lahore and a sense of deprivation has been prevailing in South Punjab.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad along with the leaders of Janobi Punjab Sooba Mahaz (JPSM), he said that South Punjab has suffered great injustice, adding that the PTI will form a committee to solve South Punjab s issues.
The PTI chairman while referring to former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s statement regarding aliens said that, “Just look at the Asghar Khan case.”
Khan went on to say that it is necessary to South Punjab a separate province and merger of Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
“Switzerland has 25 provinces which makes their own decisions after hearing the demands of their people,” he added.
