(Web Desk) – Pakistan will face its archrival India on June 16 in Old Trafford next year.
According to sources, the WC 2019 next year will be played on the format of 1992 World Cup. Final will be played on July 14.
It was in Champions Trophy 2018 held in England and Wales that the two teams last met when an unstoppable Pakistan crushed India by 180 runs to win Champions Trophy final.
When it comes to World Cups, India have a 100% win record against Pakistan; but not in matches other than in World Cups. In fact, in matches other than in World Cups, India has won only 37% of the matches – just slightly more than one-third of the matches.
The 10-team Cricket World Cup will be held between 30 May and 14 July next summer, and fixture details of all 48 matches will be officially revealed by the ICC on Thursday.
Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa and Sri Lanka all confirmed their place at next summer’s tournament thanks to their MRF Tyres ICC ODI rankings on the cut-off date of 30 September 2017. They were joined by the Windies and Afghanistan, who booked their spot at CWC19 through the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier in March.
