ISLAMABAD (Muslim Times) – The Supreme Court of Pakistan has ordered Pakistan Football Federation to hold intra-federation elections within two weeks.
A 3-member bench headed by the Chief Justice of Pakistan rejected the application of Akhtar Shah to affiliate the federation with the Pakistan Sports Board.
The Chief Justice of Pakistan said that those in charge should keep their ego aside and depoliticize the sports.
Advocate Ali Raza assured the court that in first stage, elections will be held in Punjab and then on national level.
On this occasion, Justice Azmat Saeed said that their preference is Pakistan. He said that the court wants to save the sport from harm.
The court ordered the elections and the report be submitted in the court.
