Reham says Imran committed ‘political suicide’ by ‘cringeworthy’ wedding photos

(Web Desk) – Reacting to Imran Khan’s third marriage in an interview with foreign media, his ex-wife Reham Khan opined that the PTI chief committed political suicide by tying the knot.

In an interview with DailyMail, she slammed her ex-husband by saying that the wedding snaps appear as if Imran Khan is out of touch with the modern Pakistan. She called the wedding a PR stunt with ‘cringe-worthy photos’. “To have a woman veiled head to toe, he has alienated a lot of people,” she added.

On whether Imran Khan can become Prime Minister in the upcoming 2018 general elections, Reham said the chances are over after such photos. “This has destroyed his political career (and) it is embarrassing the way the pictures of this marriage have come out.”

Reham claimed that Imran takes instructions from the sooth-sayer wife which is why people of the country are questioning the trust in him. She gave the statements that “one of the biggest things is this woman making decisions. Even if she wasn t a spiritual guide. She is getting to choose dates of intra-party elections”. She added that since there is less than four months before the elections, this is seen as wrong timing for any kind of marriage.

She recalled that her relationship with Imran Khan was perfect as they had no arguments or disagreements until when she received text message from him that their marriage was over, adding that divorce date of October 31, 2016, their first wedding anniversary.

Reham said she only used to have disagreements with Imran as she is an ideologist.

She claimed, “Imran was in contact with Bushra three years ago when I was his wife and he is not the truthful man. I knew they married on 1 January, and he revealed it later, this is exactly what he did after marrying me and then announcing after two months.”
