According to details, a bill seeking to bar NAB from taking action against crooked officials working in provincial departments has been approved whereas a notification for its implementation has also been issued.
This situation has landed subordinate workers in trouble as they said that provincial anti-corruption department always takes action against lower staff and skips officers above grade 18.
Legal experts said that former president Pervez Musharraf formed NAB in 1999 in which former Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif’s Accountability Act was also included.
They said that any NAB court can take case against any suspect recommended by NAB chairman as per A-16 section. Now with which reference the case filed by provincial anti-corruption department will be sent to NAB court, they continued.
They said no meeting of such department has been organized from past few months.
