Gehwara-e-Adab hosts mushaira in New York

NEW YORK  – A poetry sitting was organized in New York by a literary organization Gehwara-e-Adab and was attended by poets from various US states.

The mushaira was presided by renowned elderly poet Rafiuddin Raz whereas the chief guest was a well-known Indian poet Manzar Bhopali whose performance outshined in the ceremony. He acknowledged daughters all around the world through his mesmerizing poetry.

Rafiuddin Raz began his poetry while paying a tribute to Urdu language. He was followed by many other local poets whose verses were highly praised by the audience.

New York’s prominent personality Raees Farsi hosted the event. The organizer Anjum Arif gave a detailed account of Gehwara-e-Adab and said that such events are being organized from a long time and will continue to happen in the future.

The organization’s president Touqeer-ul-Hassan pronounced that Gehwara-e-Adab aims to fulfill the gap which is the asset of their heritage. He revealed that they are promoting their culture and literature in US and want to preserve them.

People praise and admire the poets’ narration

Manzar Bhopali asserted that instead of their own country, Urdu is being endorsed more in countries like, Canada, Australia, England and US which do not have any direct link with the language.

Such literary events motivate people and not only bring them closer but also enhance the love for their country.
