Israeli forces detain 12 Palestinians in overnight raids across West Bank

Israeli forces detained at least 12 Palestinians before dawn on Wednesday during overnight raids across the occupied West Bank, according to Palestinian and Israeli sources.
According to a statement from the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS), Israeli forces detained eight Palestinians from the Bethlehem district in the southern West Bank.

In the al-Duheisha refugee camp, Israeli forces detained four Palestinians, identified by locals as Mutasem Raqban, Ahmad Sarar, Ahmad al-Sarawi, and Akram al-Atrash, who was critically injured with three live bullets after clashes erupted during the raid. Al-Atrash was transferred to the Hadassah hospital in Jerusalem for treatment.

In the Bethlehem-area town of Nahhalin, PPS reported that Omran Yousif Omran, Ibrahim Walid Najajra, Adel Mahmoud Ghayatha, and Abd al-Karim Shakarna were detained by Israeli forces.

An Israeli army spokesperson confirmed to Ma’an three detentions from al-Duheisha and two others from the Bethlehem district.

The army also reported one detention from the Qalandiya refugee camp in the central West bank Ramallah district, though PPS made no mention of any detentions from the Ramallah area.

In the northern West Bank, PPS added that Israeli forces detained 23 year-old Amr Nahid Saroiji from the Tulkarem refugee camp, while 35-year-old Luay Saabna and his 25-year-old brother Shafiq Saabna were detained from the Jenin-area village of Fahma
