US President-elect Donald Trump has prepared a preliminary list of potential cabinet members for his upcoming administration, according to media reports.
Several Republican lawmakers and former GOP presidential candidates are among Trump’s cabinet list, Bloomberg Politics reported on Wednesday.
US Senators Bob Corker and Jeff Sessions, as well as Representative Michael McCaul are all in the running for cabinet positions, the report said, citing people familiar with Trump’s thinking.
Several former Republican presidential candidates, including Ben Carson, Chris Christie, Mike Huckabee and Newt Gingrich are also being weighed for multiple positions.
Carson and Gingrich are potential picks for secretary of Health and Human Services, while Christie is being weighed for secretary of Homeland Security.
The report also said that former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani is in the lead to take the attorney general.
However, a source told the BuzzFeed news organization that the list is not final, and will likely be changed in the future.
